Long live sport! The Spandau Sports Association (VfV) has been inviting people to enjoy training and exercise since 1922. Children, young people, adults and seniors can find a wide range of activities in the association, which has been active for over a century: from handball, athletics, tennis and triathlon to children's gymnastics and dance, inline skating, recreational football, Zumba, yoga and roller hockey, as well as other sports, everyone is sure to find something to suit them. From the VfV clubhouse you have a direct view of the Hakenfelde football stadium, where you can cheer on the players at tournaments, especially on the weekend.
A trip like to another city - Spandau offers lots of greenery, lots of water and lots of history along the Havel. Seven stops to discover and relax.
In a small park very close to the VfV clubhouse, there is a beautiful children's playground surrounded by tall trees. In the middle of the greenery, the little ones can slide, dig, jump, swing and climb. There are lots of great play equipment around the tree growing in the center of the playground where children can really let off steam. The adjacent meadows of the park are also ideal for running and picnicking. Visitors can also learn something about nature via tree information boards along the way.
The Spandau Water Sports Club (SWC) is in a very idyllic location. This is the right place to rent a stand-up paddle board or a kayak for a short trip. You can also rent inflatable boats and a pedal boat here - these are the perfect way to explore the Spandau waters. The club, founded in 1952, offers 19 moorings for sailing and motor boats, also has winter parking spaces and offers a varied program all year round with a lawn area including a barbecue area for its members.
Hiking trail at Maselake Bay
So much nature! The hiking trail at Maselake Bay takes you on a spacious circular path through Maselake Park past meadows, tall trees, a rustic wooden climbing frame and a playground with high swings - the view is always directed towards the water. Anyone who walks here feels a bit like they are on holiday. Along the entrance to the North Harbor, past a bank tip from which it is good to go fishing, and along a path along Maselake Bay, walkers reach a small drawbridge. It leads across the bay to the other side of the bank, where another path meanders leisurely along the water.
Spandau Pier
A real eye-catcher is the Spandau pier, which connects the districts of Hakenfelde and Haselhorst. Huge steel beams with lanterns in their heads line the bridge, from which you have a wide view over the Havel. From here, an island quickly catches your eye: the Kleiner Wall, also known as the Love Island, lies idyllically off the coast of Spandau Lake. There are a few small weekend houses there between the densely overgrown ground.

Haveleckpark Playground
Between Daumstrasse and Ruppiner-See-Strasse there is a long green area: Haveleckpark. Here you can romp around in the sand and grass: a sports area for little football players and lots of climbing opportunities, slides and balancing exercises await playful children. Note: If the weather is good, you should definitely put on plenty of sunscreen here, as it is a very sunny place.
