In order to maintain the elevators in our buildings, we rely on external elevator companies and sometimes special fitters. Unfortunately, there are currently not enough skilled workers to always carry out orders immediately. Almost every elevator company is currently looking for service technicians, which is particularly noticeable during the holidays and holiday periods - even with contractually guaranteed response times. In addition, supply chains have continued to be disrupted since the corona pandemic. This means that waiting times for replacement parts are exceptionally long. On the other hand, parallel to the above-mentioned personnel and material bottlenecks, the number of elevator systems is increasing - today an elevator is installed in almost every new building. Of course, these elevators also need to be serviced regularly - at HOWOGE this happens four times a year. If someone notices a problem in an elevator, it is helpful if it is reported to us immediately so that we can react immediately. If an elevator fails for a longer period of time, we are available to assist our tenants with our caretakers, neighborhood helpers and local partners to support people with impaired health in their everyday lives.
