For the most popular German pets – dogs and cats – HOWOGE tenants require a permit. Other pets are permitted as long as they are not exotic or dangerous animals. The latter must be registered.
Solar power from the balcony or a large shade provider – a permit must be obtained for PV systems and awnings due to the structural intervention and for safety reasons.
Anyone who is on the rental agreement or is registered as a roommate is allowed to use the apartment. Subletting the rented space or parts of the rented space to third parties is only permitted with the written consent of the landlord. Anyone who wants to temporarily sublet their apartment or even just a single room needs permission to do so.
